ODESSA, Texas (KOSA) - Medical Center Hospital says it’s going to need at least 50 to 80 volunteers per day to help with traffic control to make the coronavirus mass vaccination at Ratliff Stadium run smoothly.

While the Pfizer vaccine hasn’t arrived at the hospital yet, an MCH spokesperson says as soon as it does, he’ll alert the media – and of course we’ll update you on what the next steps are to get vaccinated.

MCH President and CEO Russell Tippin couldn’t emphasize signing up enough on today’s joint hospital Zoom conference call.

“Volunteers, volunteers, volunteers.  We need them all,” he said.  “There’ll be some walking. There’ll be some standing, but we’re going to do our best to take care of you so, bring on the volunteers,” said Tippin.

MCH says it also needs donations of food, water, sports drinks and snacks to take care of those volunteers and health care workers at the stadium.

Medical Center Health System has created a pre-registration link for community members to receive the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine.
