College Football: Tom Herman fired as Texas head coach
Tom Herman has been fired as the Longhorns’ head coach after four seasons with the team.

ODESSA, Texas (KOSA) - Tom Herman has been fired as the Longhorns’ head coach after four seasons with the team.
This decision comes just four days after UT blew out Colorado 55-23 in the Alamo Bowl, and just three weeks after Herman received a vote of confidence from Texas administration.
It has been reported that Texas will hire Alabama Offensive Coordinator Steve Sarkisian as Herman’s replacement.
Sarkisian has served as Alabama’s Offensive Coordinator for the last four seasons, and an Offensive Coordinator for the Atlanta Falcons. He has also held head coaching positions at Washington and USC.
Herman is owed a fifteen million dollar buyout.
Sarkisian will be Texas’s third head coach in just eight years.
