ODESSA, Texas (KOSA) -

It’s been one year since an Odessa father was shot and killed outside his home and still no arrests have been made.

On the anniversary of his death, family of Brandon Swinney and Odessa Police detectives held a press conference asking anyone who knows what happened to come forward.

In November 2019, Swinney was walking to the front of his house when police say someone shot him in the chest and ran away.

Swinney’s mother wrote a letter that was read aloud at the presser asking for someone to help her family heal by giving them closure.

“Please look at our pictures of Brandon’s family,” Susan Rogers Crime Stoppers CEO read aloud. “This guy took away Samantha’s soul mate, the love of her life. Took away a great dad to Kye, his 11-year-old son who is such a great kid. Sage, his one-year-old daughter who will never know her dad. Don’s son that was his pride and joy and his best friend.”

A reward of up to $20,000 is available for whoever can come forward with information about Swinney’s death.

However, to get the reward tipsters need to pass their information on to Crime Stoppers. You can contact them by calling 432-333-TIPS.
