- As clean-up continues in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey one West Texas man is stepping up to help in a very unique way Creating custom jewelry has been a passion for the owner of Isys jewelry in Odessa and now hes using his talent to help those affected by this tragedy Isy Galvan felt the impact of hurricane Harvey, from his business here in Odessa. He told CBS7 he has friends in Houston, Rockport and Port Aransas, and after seeing the devastation and flooding impacting many of his loved ones, he decided he wanted to help. Being a jeweler I didnt know what I can do, I dont have a truck; I dont have anything like that to haul things down So Galvan did what he knew best. He grabbed a pen and a napkin and let his imagination do the rest I drew a picture of Texas a picture of picture of a hurricane and a heart and I just compiled it together and came up with this idea During his 20 years as a jeweler Isy has created pieces worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, but to him this 50 dollar sterling silver pendant has become his favorite work of art. This piece is very special to me because its my part is my small part that I can do Galvan said 100 percent of the proceeds of this pendant will be donated to a local charity organization.
