ODESSA-The City of Odessa is looking to post up more truck route signs after receiving excessive complaints from residents.
Andrea Goodson, the City’s Public Information Coordinator, says both City Hall and the Police Department have been seeing an increase in calls from people complaining about 18-wheelers driving through the city.
Goodson says the only time an 18-wheeler is allowed to drive through the city is if they have designated destination to get to, if not they will be ticketed.
"Not only does it tear up our streets, but it's also a safety hazard. It's difficult to see around some of those trucks, especially in residential areas," said Goodson.
Goodson is unsure when or where the new signs will be posted, but says they will be up sometime in the near future.
