NCAA Final Four Reunion in North Texas 11/6/13
DALLAS - There is now an empty lot on the site of the razed Reunion Arena, where the NCAA Final Four was played the only time it was in North Texas in 1986.
When the Final Four returns to the area in April, one of the most popular events beside the semifinal and championship games will be held on that lot.
While the games will be played at the Dallas Cowboys' massive $1.2 billion stadium, NCAA and North Texas organizing officials said Tuesday that the NCAA March Madness Music Festival will be held on the lot where Reunion Arena once stood in downtown Dallas.
Officials said the performing acts would be announced at a later date.
The three-day musical festival at previous Final Fours has drawn more than 150,000 people.
