A Look at On-Ice Action 11/1/13
UNDATED - Just two of the four division leaders in the NHL have a game tonight.
In a Central Division game this evening, Colorado is on the road for a game at Dallas. The Avs top the division with 20 points while the Stars are in last place with 11. This is the second meeting of the season between the two clubs as Colorado won the first contest, 3-2 on Oct. 15.
Metropolitan Division leading Pittsburgh is home to Columbus tonight. The Pens start the night with 18 points, and this evening's game is the first of a home-and-home which concludes tomorrow night in Columbus.
Washington has a date with the Flyers in Philadelphia, but the Caps won't have Alex Ovechkin. He is nursing an upper-body injury that he suffered Monday against Vancouver.
The remaining games tonight have Tampa skating at Carolina, Ottawa home to the Islanders, St. Louis at Florida and the Wild home to Montreal.
