MIDLAND-Midland College is revealing big details about its master plan. President Steve Thomas says the $50 million multi-phase project is expected to bring new buildings to the campus.
Among them will be a brand new residence hall, dining hall and a new home for the early college program with local high schools.
The college’s top leader is eager to share how they plan to finance the project
"There is enough interest that we think we can raise the money through private donations," said Dr. Steve Thomas, president of Midland College.
Thomas said they stayed away from bonds in financing the project because they did not want to compete with MISD for tax dollars in its upcoming expansion efforts.
The Midland College Board of Trustees still has to vote on a plan before they officially move forward.
