Jeff Davis County Burn Ban Expires After Two Years 8/15/13
CBS 7 News
Nearly two years after devastating wildfires scorched a West Texas county, their burn ban finally expired.
According to the Big Bend Sentinel, Jeff Davis County no longer has an active burn ban.
Two years ago, the Rock House fire tore through 315,000 acres from Marfa to just north of Fort Davis.
Officials say recent rainfall contributed to the county's decision to not reinstate the ban at their meeting earlier this week.
