Midland High School Extending School Day 7/17/13
CBS 7 News
Another local high school will be offering remediation classes during lunchtime.
We previously reported that Midland Lee High School would extend the school day by 10 minutes and shorten lunch for some students who do not meet the state assessment requirements.
Now Midland High School has announced the school will also be implementing a similar policy starting this fall. That's according to the Midland Reporter Telegram.
Students who have not passed one or more of the STAAR tests will take an "End-of-Course" intervention class, cutting their 66-minute lunch period in half.
