Odessa Police Surround Home 7/6/13

Odessa – It was chaos in one Odessa neighborhood this evening as Odessa Police surrounded a home.
Officers responded to the 4100 block of Lynbrook in reference to suicide threats.
The reporting party told police that his ex-girlfriend, 37 years of age, had threatened to harm herself and also advised that she was armed with a gun.
For safety reasons, streets in the area were blocked off to keep traffic and people out of the area.
The Odessa Police SWAT Team, Crisis Intervention Unit, and other area law enforcement agencies responded to assist.
Negotiators made several attempts to speak with the victim and just before 9pm, she exited her residence and surrendered to police without incident.
There were no injuries and no charges were filed.
