Midland – A plot of land in Midland has been officially rezoned for a Dollar General, however it’s not likely to ever be built.
Midland city council members approved the zoning at yesterday’s meeting, but the developer for the project was a no-show. This leads council members to believe that he will not move forward with building the store.
The project had been put on hold after concerned residents brought up a deed restriction, requiring the developer to get area neighbor signatures before building.
The conflict brought up a lot of questions for council members, but after yesterday’s meeting, they say the issue has become a “waste of time.”
