Hot Temperatures This Week 6-24-13
Monday Weather Update
Greg Morgan – Chief Meteorologist
A slight chance of thunderstorms will be with us today, as a disturbance tumbles across the area. The best chance of rain will be in the higher elevations and the adjacent plains. However, a thunderstorm or two could pop up in the Permian Basin as well. Highs will top out in the mid to upper 90’s across the Basin. Temperatures in the Trans Pecos will be a little closer to 100.
Dry and hot conditions are expected Tuesday through the rest of the week. Highs will be at or above 100 under sunny skies through Friday.
A few extra clouds will move into the area over the weekend but will do little to keep the heat in check.
