WEST TEXAS - A number of roads around West Texas will be getting a makeover. TxDOT has begun a $5-million seal-coat project in Midland, Andrews, Martin and Upton counties. Roads get repaired every year on a rotating schedule to seal cracks to keep water from seeping into the road and to provide a new skid surface, which improves safety.
Here are the roads that will be sealed:
>> FM 2371 from FM 181 to SH 115.
>> SH 115 from Martin County line to SH 176.
>> FM 1967 from SH 176 to US 385.
>> FM 1208 from FM 1212 to north frontage road of Interstate 20.
>> FM 3033 from SH 176 to Interstate 20.
>> FM 829 from the Dawson County line to SH 176.
>> FM 1212 from SH 176 to FM 829.
>> SH 115 from the Gaines County line to the Andrews County line.
>> FM 1787 from FM 1788 to SH 349.
>> FM 1788 from south frontage road of Interstate 20 to Upton County line.
>> FM 1788 from the Upton County line to the end of state maintenance.
The project is expected to be completed by July.
