Very Cold And Windy Today 5/2/13
Thursday Morning Weather Update
Greg Morgan – Chief Meteorologist
Expect a much colder and windy day across the Permian Basin. Temperatures will depend largely on the amount of cloud cover through the afternoon hours. Highs will range anywhere from the upper 40’s to around 60 across the area. Winds will be out of the north through the day. Look for 30-40mph winds this morning, then decreasing later in the evening hours.
Very cold conditions are in the offing on Friday morning. Lows will dip into the 20’s and lower 30’s. A freeze watch is in effect for much of the region.
Highs will climb back into the 60’s on Friday and 70’s on Saturday and Sunday.
A slight chance of rain is expected early next week as another upper level low spins out of the southern California. Highs will be in the 80’s Monday through Wednesday.
