MIDLAND COUNTY-The Midland County Commissioners Court will take action on a purchase authorization for a consultant to do major county pavement work.
Many roads in the county that are now only caliche roads could see major improvements.
County Commissioner Robin Donnelly said they will be paving approximately 54 miles of unpaved roads across the county.
"The consultant work we are authorizing today should cost around 10 percent of the cost of paving, but that's what we're talking about today," Donnelly said.
Donnelly said Commissioners are authorizing the paving project after a jump in sales tax revenue.
