Mostly Cloudy But Warmer Today 4/25/13
Thursday Morning Weather Update
Greg Morgan – Chief Meteorologist
Mostly cloudy skies have returned to the area this morning. There are even a few light showers trying to develop over the northern row of counties. Expect the clouds to remain in place through the first half of the day, then decrease later in the afternoon. As the clouds break, wind speeds will increase this afternoon. Look for a southeast wind at 10-20mph. (15-25mph in a few locations). Highs will be in the upper 60’s to the mid 70’s across most of the region. The one exception will be the Presidio Valley, where highs will climb to around 90.
Stronger winds will be in place overnight, allowing temperatures to remain elevated. Temperatures will fall into the 50’s tonight and climb into the 80’s Friday afternoon. Skies will be mostly sunny on Friday afternoon as well.
A weak cold front will move into the area on Saturday. This will shave a few degrees off of the temperature on Saturday. However, moisture will overrun the front on Sunday and Monday, producing a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms late in the weekend into early next week.
