Boston Bombing Suspect Charged with Using Weapon of Mass Destruction 4/22/13
WATERTOWN, Mass. - Dzhokhar Tsarnaev will be charged with "conspiring to use a weapon of mass destruction". The White House says he will not be tried as an "enemy combatant", meaning he will be tried in a federal court, not a military court.
Tsarnaev, the suspect in last Monday's Boston Marathon bombing and the suspect of Friday's manhunt that shut down many parts of Metro Boston, was arraigned by officials at his bedside.
He is listed in serious condition and is unable to speak due to injuries sustained during apprehension, but has been reported to be able to answer interrogators questions through gestures and writing.
