Men Arrested Owe Big Dollars In Unpaid Child Support 04/11/13

ECTOR COUNTY, TX - Six men have been arrested in Ector County for not paying court-ordered child support. The wanted owe massive amounts of money to the custodial parents. Itís all part of the "Child Support Roundup" that took place this week, a joint effort between the office of the Texas Attorney General and the Ector County Sheriff's Office.
Over the past several days, deputies were out looking for 24 parents in Ector County who had warrants for failing to pay child support. These arenít small amounts, the top amount owed by one delinquent parent is nearly $70,000, the top ten owe a total of $339,000.
Eric Pineda, Ezekiel Casas, Loyd Sturles, Thomas Martin, Tommie Collier Jr. And Richard Ramos were arrested this week. The Attorney General's Office can't tell us who owed what amount but all together, the six men owe upwards of $94,000 in unpaid child support.
These men face up to six months behind bars. To bond out of jail, they have to pay the custodial parent what they owe. The Office of the Attorney General tells us the 24 parents in Ector County they are looking for are all men, however they tell say it's not uncommon for mothers to make the list.
