Cloudy And Cool Today 4/3/13
Wednesday Morning Weather Update
Greg Morgan Ė Chief Meteorologist
A cold and cloudy morning will persist across much of West Texas. The potential still exists for a few rain showers over the eastern Permian Basin. However, any rain that falls will likely be light. Temperatures will struggle to warm in todayís environment. North winds will continue to transport cooler air into the region and clouds will be slow to break. All of this will lead to highs only in the 40ís and 50ís for most today. A few locations in the in the Trans Pecos will top out in the lower 60ís and a few 80ís are possible in the Presidio Valley.
Sunny skies and warmer temperatures will be in the offing after a cold start to your Thursday morning. Look for highs in the lower 70ís on Thursday.
Even warmer conditions will continue to move into the region on Friday Saturday and Sunday. Expect highs in the lower 80ís on Friday. Temperatures will push to near 90 on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Stronger winds are likely on Friday and Saturday.
The next Pacific storm system is on track to approach from the west early next week. It appears that some rainfall is possible with this system. However, Iím going to hold off introducing rain chances on Tuesday and stick with strong winds for now.
