Permian Basin Coalition Meets To Bring More Tax Dollars To The Area 4/2/13
As more people move to the Permian Basin in search of work, the economy has grown and so have the issues. Traffic is a major concern, schools are reaching capapcity and new water sources are needed.
Today a first of it's kind meeting was held at the Horseshoe Areana in Midland. Local leaders met as the Permian Basin Coalition to talk about how to bring more state and federal dollars to the Basin. Leaders discussed how to highlight the Permian Basin's contributions to Austin's and DC's revenues. They also hope that showing the Basin's impact on the economy will help secure more tax dollars for much needed infastructure projects.
