Sunny But Cold Today 3/25/13
Monday Weather Update
Greg Morgan – Chief Meteorologist
Expect another cold day across West Texas. Highs will top out around 50. However, the winds will continue in the neighborhood of 5-15mph. This will effectively make it feel 10 degrees cooler than it actually is. So be sure to bundle up through the entire day.
Temperatures will again drop into the 20’s tonight before finally warming up on Tuesday afternoon. Highs on Tuesday will climb into the 60’s.
Highs in the 70’s are expected Wednesday through Friday. A steady fetch of moisture will begin to move into the area on Wednesday. This will keep extra clouds in the forecast for the late part of the week. A few thunderstorms will be possible as a weak dryline sets up across the region. While my confidence isn’t high on rainfall, it appears possible. I wouldn’t get my hopes up though.
Warmer temperatures are expected this weekend. Highs on Saturday and again on Easter Sunday will be in the lower 80’s.
Another storm system will be moving eastward from the Western United States early next week. While it’s a bit too early to get excited… There does appear to be a chance at some healthy rainfall. However, the possibility will hinge on this storms path. Be sure to stay tuned for the latest on this storm system.
