Cause of Odessa Strip Mall Fire Under Investigation 3/15/13

MIDLAND, TX – The Odessa Fire Department is still investigating a fire at a strip mall at 3615 N. Dixie in Odessa.
According to the Odessa Fire Marshal Detra White the construction of the building helped to prevent the fire from spreading.
White also says that they are preserving the scene, in case other insurance companies come to investigate the fire as well.
Odessa Fire/Rescue Engines 4, 6, 8 and 1, Tanker 5, Battalion 1 and Rescues 4 and 6 responded to the structure fire yesterday afternoon.
The fire appears to have originated in Shantiques. The business sustained fire, smoke and heat damage.
The neighboring business, The Trophy Den, sustained heavy smoke damage. The adjoining businesses sustained light smoke damage.
The cause of the fire is still undetermined.
