12-Year-Old Boy Claims He Was Biten By A Pit Bull in Odessa 3/14/13

ODESSA - A 12-year-old boy says he was bitten by a pit bull Thursday evening.
Animal Control investigated and say there was a wound, but they couldn't determine if the child was biten.
The pit bull was taken into custody by animal control and will be quarantined for 10 days.
The owner was ticketed for the incident.
The Odessa Police issued this release:
At approximately 1550 hours, Animal Control Officers responded to a call of an animal attack in the 3800 block of North Everglade.
A 12 year old male reported that he was walking down the street when he was approached a gray female Pit Bull that bite him on his left hip.
The child had a visible wound but it could not be determine if it was an actual bite.
The child’s parent responded to the scene and no medical treatment was sought at this time.
The owner of the Pit Bull provided Animal Control with up to date vaccination records.
The owner was cited for dog at large and the Pit Bull was taken into custody by Animal Control and placed in quarantine for ten days per protocol.
