PRESIDIO COUNTY, TX - The owner of two dozen neglected dogs in Marfa has been arrested on animal cruelty charges. According to Presidio County Sheriff's Office officials, the owner of the dogs has been arrested. They have yet to release his name but plan to sometime this afternoon.
We spoke with Grand Companions the Fort Davis shelter that rescued the 23 dogs last week after neighbors reported the neglected animals to law enforcement. Shelter officials tell us 20 of the dogs are in good condition and 3 are still in recovery.
The Grand Companions shelter is in need of supplies and monetary donations to continue to care for these pets. For more information on how you can help, please call (432) 426-3724.
