MANHATTAN, Kan. - Angel Rodriguez scored 21 points last night to lead
No. 9 Kansas State past TCU 79-68. Shane Southwell and Martavious Irving both
added 15 points for the Wildcats on Senior Night. Kyan Anderson had 29 points
for the Horned Frogs.
EL PASO, Texas (AP) - UTEP coach Tim Floyd has met with USC athletic
director Pat Haden about returning to his old job. UTEP athletic director Bob
Stull says Haden contacted him six weeks ago about meeting with Floyd. He became
UTEP's coach in 2010 after resigning from USC under accusations that he
improperly recruited star O.J. Mayo.
HOUSTON (AP) - Aaron Brooks has returned to the Houston Rockets. The guard
signed with the Rockets yesterday, rejoining the team that drafted him in 2007.
Brooks played his first three-and-a-half NBA seasons in Houston and was traded
in February 2011.
VIERA, Fla. (AP) - Rafael Soriano threw a scoreless inning in his Washington
debut as the Nationals beat the Houston Astros 7-1 yesterday. Danny Espinosa had
two hits and two RBIs for the Nationals. Jose Altuve drove in Houston's only
run.
