MIDLAND, TX - The Tall City is doubling down on insurance coverage for special events and parades sponsored by the city. Last month, the Midland City Council approved a new ordinance that requires insurance for all special events.
City leaders tell CBS 7 that a city-sponsored event usually means the city will waive certain fees, however insurance coverage will now be required regardless. The event organizers must have their own liability insurance and the city's special event insurance will also cover the event.
