Forsan - Imagine having to make a long distance phone call every time you need to speak with a co-worker. That's exactly what happens at Forsan ISD.
Their current elementary school is 12 miles away from the main campus. If anyone would like to get a hold of each other between campuses, a long distance phone call must be made.
Distance is just one challenge that prompted school board members to call for a bond on the May ballot.
The $23 million bond proposal was approved to be on the May ballot in last night's school board meeting.
If passed, the money would be used to build a new elementary school within walking distance of the main campus, among other renovations.
