BIG SPRING-The Big Spring City Council approved a measure to pick up the tab for half of the cost of a construction overage on the Troy Hogue Law Enforcement Center.

Mayor Tommy Duncan says the total overage is $110,000 and the cost will be split between Howard County and the City of Big Spring. Big Spring will pick up $50,000 of the tab.

"The city gave $1.7 million, the county gave $1 million and the project ran over budget because of construction costs," said Duncan.

The Hogue Law Enforcement Center is located on the West End of Big Spring on Old Hwy. 80.
