JEFF DAVIS COUNTY-The Buffalo Trail Council says its equine programs are looking for additional support for its upcoming summer camp offerings.
The council will host more than 4,000 students this summer at its Buffalo Trails Scout Ranch in the Davis Mountains.
In addition to their summer camps, the Ranch hosts programs that reach out to inner-city youth across the bigger cities in Texas.
"This is about the prettiest place on Earth," said Head Wrangler Dee Dee Elliott. "The kids get to come here and be around the horses and learn a lot of responsibility. For many it's a big accomplishment."
Elliott says the Boy Scout Ranch has a need for donations of horses, feed, hay or other equipment. To make a tax-deductible donation, contact the Ranch at (432) 426-3709.
