VANCOUVER, British Columbia - A late rally by the Dallas Stars has ended
the Vancouver Canucks' six-game winning streak. Brenden Dillon scored the
go-ahead goal with 3 minutes left in the third period, giving the Stars a 4-3
victory. Dallas overcame a 3-1 deficit to get its fifth win in six games.
HOUSTON - Sprinter Usain Bolt not only is the fastest man alive, he
also can dunk. Bolt showed that as he joined the East team in the All-Star
celebrity basketball game in Houston on All-Star Weekend. But the West won the
game 58-38, and five-foot-2 comedian Kevin Hart took most valuable player
honors.
HOUSTON - Miami Heat coach has turned to one of his own players to fill
an injury void in the starting lineup of the Eastern Conference All Stars. Chris
Bosh has been chosen to start in place of injured Boston guard Rajon Rondo. Bosh
will join teammates LeBron James and Dwayne Wade as starters in Sunday's game in
Houston. Rondo withdrew because of a knee injury.
SURPRISE, Ariz. - Texas Rangers slugger Nelson Cruz has made his first
public comments since a story broke that linked him to a Florida clinic at the
center of a new baseball drug investigation. Cruz says it was "shocking" and
"depressing" to be accused of making drug purchases from the clinic. Cruz hit
.263 with 29 homers last season.
