ODESSA-New information on the developing story of 23-year-old Jason Belin, who went missing Jan. 24th. He was last seen near Jaguar's Gold Club on Cargo Street.
Sgt. Gary Duesler with the Ector County Sheriff's Office says investigators learned that the surveillance cameras at Jaguar's Gold Club were not working the night of Belin's dissappearance.
Duesler also says there were no calls received at the Ector County Sheriff's office related to Jaguar's Gold Club on the night of Belin's disappearance. The Belin family said Jason Belin may have been involved in a fight at or near the club that night.
Belin's family told us today they believe the body found yesterday by a DPS dive team was their missing relative. The Ector County Sheriff's Office says they will not be able to confirm anything officially until the investigation moves forward.
We did find a body of water just West of Jaguar's club in an empty, abandoned field. It was enclosed by a chain-link fence with barbed wire, making it difficult to wander into on foot.
That unidentified body was sent for an autopsy yesterday.
