Man Out of Hospital, Behind Bars after Officer-involved Shooting in Kermit

KERMIT--DPS tells us Chad Weaver was transferred to the Lubbock County Jail sometime Sunday. He is being held on a charge of aggravated assualt on a peace officer.
Weaver was taken to a Lubbock hospital after he was shot by police officer Donnie Jowers in Kermit on Friday. Shots rang out after a traffic stop lead to a scuffle between Weaver and the police officer. For more information, read last week's story here.
