Opening Celebrations for Renovated Playgrounds 1/23/13

The City of Midland will hold two separate events to celebrate the opening of its six newly-renovated playgrounds.
The public is invited to a ribbon cutting to mark the official opening at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 25 at Grafa Park (3201 Ma-Mar Ave., adjacent to Midkiff Road).
A Progressive Playground Party will be held between 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 2. Midland families are invited to visit each of the new playgrounds in any order they choose. Each park will offer something different for the children, such as balloons, face painting, snacks and more. Pick up a punch card at any of the listed parks; punches from all six parks will qualify participants for drawings for prizes when turned in by 3 p.m. on March 2.
The six parks with newly renovated equipment are:
Grafa Park (3201 Ma-Mar Ave., adjacent to Midkiff)
John P. Butler Park (3801 Bluebird Lane)
Pioneer Park (2001 Lindora Way)
House Park (4800 Ric Drive)
Sparks Park (1500 E. Golf Course Road)
Ulmer Park (2700 W. Kentucky Ave.)
