Big Spring – For veterans living with chronic pain, The West Texas VA Health Care System will be hosting a workshop and support groups for them.
The West Texas VA Health Care System will be hosting the Veterans in Pain, Learning to Live with Pain Workshop on Thursday, January 31, 2013 from 9:30 AM - 3:00 PM at the George H. O’Brien, Jr. VAMC, 300 Veterans Blvd, Big Spring, TX.
Veterans who attend with learn the impact of pain, education for medical providers and staff caring for Veterans with pain concerning innovative approaches and resources available to improve their expertise, discussions about ways to enable patients with pain, regaining control of life despite pain, and sharing tools to bridge the gap between Veterans and health care providers.
Attendance will also be via Telehealth at: West Texas VA Health Care System Odessa Community Based Outpatient Clinic, 4241 N. Tanglewood, Suite 201, Odessa, TX 79762 and West Texas VA Health Care System Abilene Community Based Outpatient Clinic, 3850 Ridgemont Drive, Abilene, TX 79606.

Peer-to-peer mentoring clinics will meet the first, second and fourth Monday of the month from 6pm - 7pm at the Veterans Healing Center at the George H. O'Brien, Jr. VAMC, 300 Veterans Blvd, Big Spring, TX.
