Odessa - The principals of Permian and Odessa High Schools say they are working with architects on renovations approved in a $129,750,000 bond issue. Both schools are getting additions to provide more space for ninth graders who will be attending the high schools in 2014. Permian principal Roy Garcia says he believes they can successfully handle the extra students because of the added space. The 15 year veteran at PHS says there will be some tweaking as the process begins as with any new project. OHS principal Greg Nelson is also optimistic as he works with architects and provides input to the changes. Today on CBS 7 Closer Look Nelson talked about serving his first year as principal of Odessa High School. The leader of the Bronchos says he's aware of the challenges but he's confident that OHS will see a lot of improvements when construction on the schools is completed.
