Distinguished Alpine Attorney Passes Away in Truck Crash 1/17/13

Alpine - A distinguished member of the Alpine community has passed away.
DPS confirms that Attorney Mike Barclay passed away Wednesday evening on Highway 17.
CBS7 is told the 83-year-old was heading South on Highway 17, about 17 miles North of Fort Davis, when he lost control of his 1997 Chevy Pickup on a curve, rolling several times into the northbound lanes and into a field.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
DPS says Barclay was wearing a seat belt and there was only one vehicle involved.
Barclay was a long-time member of the community and according to several people, was well loved by those who knew and worked with him.
In 2008, he was recognized by the Texas Bar Association for 50 years of distinguished service.
