The Area 18 Robotics Competition for Arena and Inventions is under way, as 78 teams from West and South Texas are squaring off with their sights set on the state competition in April.
Intermediate teams competed this morning, and advanced teams are competing this afternoon.
The event is open to the public. San Jacinto Junior High is located at 1400 North N Street in Midland.
