Odessa- One Odessa school is being recognized by a big company for its efforts to integrate technology in the classroom.
Apple selected New Tech Odessa as one of just 87 schools in the country as a distinguished school.
The award is given to schools that promote centers of innovation, leadership and educational excellence.
"For New Tech Odessa to be selected as an apple distinguished school is a pretty big deal in my estimation,” said Principal Adrian Vega.
New tech is one of few schools that gives Macbooks to every student. It’s part of a special, project-based curriculum at the college prep school.
