Train Crash Lawyers to Inspect Railroad Crossing 12/12/12
City of Midland
Press Release
December 12, 2012
The Union Pacific railroad crossing located near the intersections between South Garfield Street and Industrial and Front Streets will be temporarily closed starting at 9 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 17.
The City of Midland will be working in conjunction with Union Pacific to block traffic at the crossing during an inspection to be conducted by counsel for Plaintiffs, Bob Pottroff and Kevin Glasheen, as part of the discovery in their case related to the Nov. 15 train wreck at the crossing.
Pottroff and Glasheen will conduct their inspection while trains operate over the crossing by following worker-on-track safety standards, including but not limited to wearing appropriate safety equipment and clothing.
All involved, including the public, are asked to take extra safety precautions as roadway traffic on Front Street and Industrial Avenue may still be open to the public.
