City of Midland: December Sales Tax Revenue 12/12/12

The City of Midland has collected this month's revenue from the State Comptroller's Office. The total amount of revenue received was $2,988,914.
This month's figure reflects a 12.34 percent increase or a $329,323 increase from December 2011.
The year-to-date total sales tax revenue for fiscal year 2012-2013 is up 15.20% or a $1,214,607 increase from last year's totals at this time. Fiscal year-to-date actual sales tax revenue is $9,204,866.
Sales tax revenue is generated by sales tax income from two months prior to collection; December collection is based on October sales.
