Odessa - After being vandalized recently, the West Odessa Volunteer Fire Department is still facing problems.
Fire Chief Jimmy Ellis says the fire department’s building is in need of repair and they've out grown their 30-year-old facility.
He says they've paid several thousand dollars to fix the vandalism.
The fire team still has to store several fire trucks outdoors and as temperatures continue to drop this could be detrimental to their ability to respond to fires.
Also, the fire department currently has a shortage in volunteers.
