Few Available Substitutes, MISD Having Hard Time Filling Classes 12/9/12

Midland - Midland ISD is having a hard time getting substitutes to fill in when a teacher calls in sick.
MISD says that although their substitute teacher list has more than 300 names on it, not all are available every day.
This means, when the district isn't able to get a "fill in" for that day, campus principals look for other ways employees can cover classes before going to the last resort, which is combining classes.
