Texas Rangers Investigating Officer-Involved Shooting UPDATE 1:30 AM 11/14/12

UPDATE: 1:30 A.M.
DPS spokesman Tom Vinger sent this update.
"Texas Rangers are investigating an officer-involved shooting that took place at approximately 6:15 p.m. in Andrews. The incident involved DPS officers and two suspects. A male suspect was arrested, and a female suspect was transported to the hospital in Odessa after she was wounded in the incident, which took place in the ALCO parking lot on Main Street in Andrews. Additional information will be released tomorrow, but no other details will be released this evening."

UPDATE 10:45 PM
The Texas Rangers are on the scene after gunshots erupt in the parking lot of an Andrews store.
Officials are tight-lipped on the investigation, but this is what we know.
Around 6:30 pm, emergency crews were called out to the ALCO store located in the 1200 block of North Main.
Witnesses say an officer shot a woman.
There are reports that a DPS trooper was involved. However that information has not been confirmed.
Right now crime scene tape surrounds the parking lot.
Our crews on the scene say there were several bullet casings in the area.
There were at least two bullets that hit the ALCO store.
We are also receiving reports of another active crime scene. This one is at North 5th and "I" streets.
One witness says she saw a woman crash a vehicle into a pole.
Another says this vehicle was last seen in the parking lot of the ALCO store and the incident may have been involved in the shooting.
Investigators have not confirmed or denied that information.
The woman involved in the shooting was airlifted to Medical Center Hospital with unknown injuries.

According to law enforcement on the scene, one woman was shot and transported to an area hospital by helicopter.
CBS 7 crews on the scene say there are bullet casings in the parking lot. At least two bullets hit the ALCO building.
The Texas Rangers are investigating.

Details are limited at this time. CBS 7 crews on the scene say the shooting involved a law enforcement officer and the Texas Rangers are on the way to the scene.
