Fort Stockton City Council Declares "Emily Neyland Day" 11/13/12

Today is “Emily Neyland Day” in Fort Stockton after friends petitioned the city council to honor her with a proclamation.
The Fort Stockton High School, Class of 1999, and other community member’s petitioned the mayor and council to honor the 31-year-old Neyland.
Neyland is home bound, but has touched the lives of many in the community.
The group created "Team Emily" t-shirts and bracelets, and even launched 99 balloons recently in her honor.
Her dad says it is truly an amazing thing her friends and classmates did for her.
Emily and her late sister, Betsy, were ambassadors for the Muscular Dystrophy Association for a number of years.
Congrats to Emily on her special day.
