UPDATE 4:26 PM

CBS 7 has just learned that another police department received threats.

Fort Stockton Police Chief, Art Fuentes, tells CBS 7 the police department also received the same threat on Topix.com from the user “El Diablo.”

The police department handed the case to the Homeland Security Cyber Crimes Unit.

Authorities are investigating several threats made against specific City and County law enforcement officers in Midland.

The threats were posted on a public forum on topix.com.

A person, disguised under the name “El Diablo,” posted the threats Friday night. “El Diablo” targets Midland Police Chief, Price Robinson, and Midland County Sheriff, Gary Painter. Midland police officer, Sgt. Ben Chavez, was also named in the posts.

“El Diablo” writes, “No family member from Midland Police Department employees will be safe.” The person also writes, “we will put pipe bombs in public places on Dec. 25 and will create carnage unimaginable.”

The posts have been removed from the site.

Sheriff Painter could not comment on this case pending investigation.
