'Bark in the Park' Raises Alzheimer's Awareness

October 8, 2012 – Fire Prevention Week is October 8 – 12 and Odessa Fire/Rescue has a host of activities planned for the public.
Elementary age students are thinking creatively in fire safety as they prepare posters depicting fire prevention. Winning posters and coloring sheets will be displayed at Music City Mall throughout the week. Members of OFR will also be at Music City Mall to perform a puppet show every evening at 7.
The winning posters and coloring sheets will also be on display during an open house Saturday, October 13 between 9 am and noon at Central Fire Station/Administration Building, 1100 West Second Street. Citizens are invited to tour the facility, get a free blood pressure check and important information regarding smoke detectors. There will be a vehicle extrication demonstration and a roll over simulator as well.
