Odessa, TX - We spoke with Odessa Police Department who says; the three men involved were all neighbors, who just didnít get along.
Many neighbors refused to give their names or speak on camera. One says he was startled by the gunshots that happened around 8 p.m.
"Its a calm place Iíve never seen problems before," he said. "When I first heard the gun shots I was like, whatís going on?"
Police say this was a neighbor dispute. They say it started with an argument between 29-year-old Christopher Lee Sims, which some-how led to him shooting 32 year-old David Joseph Bell.
OPD says Bell died on the scene.
Police say he also shot 28 year-old Tim Acuff, who is now in critical condition with stomach wounds.
Neighbors say they are still in shock.
"Only thing I can say is I have two friends that are gone," a neighbor said.
Police wont confirm if Sims did this in self-defense, but wants to assure the public this was not a random act. These neighbors were not strangers.
"I like the neighborhood I just think somebody was involved in the wrong things," another neighbor says.
