Boy Scout Ranch Latest 4/26/11
(Ft. Davis)- According to the Buffalo Trail Council of the Boy Scouts of America, there has been just minimal damage to the Buffalo Trail Scout Ranch.
There are fires still burning in the canyons near the camp, but it appears that what damage did occur will not affect summer camp.
Scout Executive Lyman Gifford says they did aerial surveys.
He also says that the water system in their outback program did receive damage but parts have been ordered to repair it.
There horses are now back at basecamp after they were moved during the fires.
The Scout Ranch serves approximately 4,000 campers each summer.
