Alpine Police Warn Residents of "Secret Shopper" Scam

The Alpine Police Department is warning the community of a scam making its way around town. Residents have been receiving fraudulent checks through fed-ex and other carriers asking that they become secret shoppers.

Ground broke today for the new temporary housing for hearing impaired students attending SouthWest Collegiate Institute for the Deaf in Big Spring.

The man who assaulted a woman and then threatened to harm himself when police arrived is now behind bars.

While there is a current downturn in oil, a local auction company is seeing more business and is interested in helping.
